Ford’s Colony Garden Club is hosting its Hidden Treasures Garden Tour this Saturday, May 14. Proceeds from the tour (after expenses) fund scholarships to Nature Camp for local youth.
The advanced-ticket price to visit all eight gardens is $8—that’s a mere $1 a garden. You will be treating yourself to a fun-filled spring day! It is a great way to pick up some gardening pointers and get ideas.
For advanced-price tickets, write a check to Ford’s Colony Garden Club for $8 per ticket. Note on the check that it is for Garden Tour Tickets and drop it off at John Pott guardhouse. On Saturday, pick up your pre-paid ticket, a tour map and descriptions of each featured garden between 9am-2pm at Swim & Tennis Club.
Advanced-sale tickets may also be purchased at Wednesday’s Garden Club meeting between 9 and 11am.
Day of tour ticket purchases at Swim & Tennis Club are $10 per ticket.
Please note: Saturday’s ticket purchase and pick-up times have been extended to 9am-2 pm.
The Garden Club also has raffle tickets ($3 each or 2/$5) for five themed garden baskets filled to overflowing with a delightful array of garden-related accessories and surprises.
1. Williamsburg Blue & White
2. Mother & Daughter in the Garden
3. Romantic Wine in the Garden
4. Red Cardinal Basket
5. Gardening for the Birds
Raffle basket tickets are on sale Saturday at Swim & Tennis Club or at 117 Killington, the third home on the tour where the baskets will be on display. You can specify your basket preference. The drawing will be held Saturday, and you do not need to be present to win.
We hope you can join us for this fun event and support the Nature Camp scholarships.
