Ford’s Colony helps House of Mercy

Ford’s Colony will hold its spring food and diaper drive — to benefit Williamsburg House of Mercy — Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ford’s Colony swim and tennis club.

Critically needed food items and infant/toddler diapers can be dropped off in the contact-free, drive-through lanes that will be set up in the club’s parking lot. Place the items in the rear of your vehicle and masked and gloved volunteers will remove them.

The WilliamsburgHouseofMercy.org website has a list of the most-needed food supplies such as peanut butter, canned meats, fish and fruit, and fruit juice. Cash donations may also be made on the website, and checks payable to the Williamsburg House of Mercy (note: food pantry) may be mailed to the charity’s headquarters at 10 Harrison Ave., Williamsburg, 23185.
