New Owners for Ford’s Colony Golf Club

Ford's Colony Golf Course
Ford’s Colony Golf Course

For several years, Ford’s Colony Golf Club ownership has been in flux.  Listed for sale by Prudential at $9.95 million, Accord Golf Capital and Och-Ziff Real Estate finally bought the club Friday, November 30 2012.  Och-Ziff Real Estate is a hedge fund investment firm with $32 billion in assets. Partnering with Accord Golf Capital, the firms plan to implement improvements to the business and facilities.  New management for the course is part of the package, too, as Traditional Golf Management takes position as the managing head. Traditional Golf Management, of Toano, VA, manages several other golf courses, including Stonehouse, Royal New Kent and Brickshire. Members of Ford’s Colony Golf Club will receive reciprocity with those three golf courses, paying only a $20 cart fee, and access to many other golf courses in the Traditional Golf Management network.
